This beautiful giraffe I captured in early morning in Chinde Reserve, Botswana. If you look closely, you'll see the "passengers" on his head, birds called yellow-billed oxpeckers. These birds are very picky eaters...they only eat certain bugs and those bugs are plentiful in the giraffe's hair. Of course this is beneficial to both animals. The oxpecker feeds and the giraffe's hair is cleaner and healthier. Fascinating!
