Maryanne Keeling, a native of Leesville, South Carolina, admits her lifelong love of photography took a somewhat diverted route through corporate America, during her fifteen-year tenure as an exploration geologist for Exxon . Although this was an exciting career for her, her passion for photography eventually won out, and she left Exxon in 1994, to open her own studio in Northwest Houston. Since that time, Maryanne’s business has grown considerably, which she attributes to “word of mouth” and loyal client referrals.

Maryanne’s studio is built into her home in Northwest Houston, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden area, as well as a large camera room, for studio portraits. She feels inviting her clients into the comfort of her home setting is another advantage her studio offers. Clients are more comfortable and she enjoys being able to offer personal, one-on-one, service.

Along with this busy career, Maryanne balances her other passions – her husband and three children. Her husband, Ted, is a (25-year) exploration geologist with ExxonMobil, and her three children keep her “young” with all their involved activities in sports, drill team, Cotillion, and NCL. The Keelings attend Kinsmen Lutheran Church, where they have been members since 1987.

Maryanne is an award-winning member of PPA, TPPA and WPPI, and is dedicated to the capture and presentation of the finest photographic images available in today’s market. She personally photographs each sitting and loves to become a “tradition” within families for all their photographic needs…..from newborns through childhood, from graduating seniors through engagement and marriage, and from family portraits to the anniversary years……Maryanne tailors each project to your individual needs, so that the memories captured truly reflect your personal tastes.

It’s all about creativity, and with digital, the possibilities are endless…..retouching blemishes…a cinch; composite images….simple; switching heads….no problem; flush-mount albums….impossible before digital; same-day proofs….we can do; oil painted interpretations…..they’re gorgeous! Any photographer who isn’t “head over heals” into the digital world is like a race driver with blinders on. “As for me”, says Maryanne, “ I’m full speed ahead and my vision is crystal clear”!
